Job Description

This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. You’ll join your colleagues in your local office at least 2 days a week.

As the UK’s largest fibre-only network, and its only proven wholesale challenger, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.

Designed from scratch for the internet, our network is greener, more reliable and ready for the future. The products we provide over it not only lead the market on speed, value and service, they help businesses to innovate, provide entire communities with a better foundation for their digital lives and support economic growth, locally and nationally.

What does that mean for you? The opportunity to make internet connections (and daily life) a whole lot better, for a lot of people!

Joining us as a Passive Integration Architect

As a Passive Integration Architect you will define and lead the strategy for the integration of any acquired Passive network into CityFibre’s existing infrastructure looking at network topologies, capacity, methods and materials to deliver a unified and optimised fibre network.

You’ll receive a salary, commission, a car allowance, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Develop and manage the passive network integration strategy, aligning with strategic objectives and network evolution roadmap
  • Conduct detailed assessments of acquired network assets, identifying key variances and integration challenges
  • Design end-to-end passive network integration solutions, focusing on compatibility, capacity optimisation, and scalability
  • Implement strategies for harmonising materials and standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficient operations

What you’ll bring to the role

The Passive Integration Architect will be the subject matter expert in passive network integration with the purpose of delivering a unified and optimised fibre network. You’ll also have:

  • Extensive experience in Passive Fibre Optic Network Architecture and Design, focusing on passive plant and various topologies and technologies
  • Proficient in fibre network testing, troubleshooting, performance optimisation, and producing clear technical documentation and architectural diagrams
  • Experienced in integrating networks from acquired operators, large-scale network consolidation projects, and familiar with various vendor solutions and technologies
  • Knowledgeable in network inventory management, GIS systems, regulatory compliance, and cost modelling for economic analysis of networks
