About the role

Halter is one of the world’s fastest-growing agritech companies, and the most transformative technology available in pasture-based grazing. With Halter’s cattle collars and app, graziers can virtually fence and shift their cattle, as well as proactively monitor cattle locations and behavior. We’re looking for someone to drive research and understanding of the different partnerships and industry connections that will be crucial to Halter in the US. You will lead in-depth research into the funding and research landscape, then help build materials and form relationships to educate the market about Halter. You will provide support to the wider Halter team, including BD Representatives who are then meeting with Stakeholders in their key States. In your first 12 months, your primary goal will be to grow Halter’s understanding of the industry and possible stakeholders, create priorities across the stakeholders, and connect Halter with different groups. In the following years, you will have the opportunity to grow to lead Halter’s partnership strategy in the US. A self-starter attitude is crucial for this role; you will be a significant contributor to the growth and success of Halter in the USA, creating change for an entire industry.

Who we are looking for:

  • Analytical: A person who is naturally curious, and adept at running research projects from start to finish. You will be skilled at crafting research questions, knowing where to look for information, and then analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data to generate valuable insights.
  • A strong communicator: You will excel at turning large amounts of information into easy-to-action insights, that will be shared internally and externally. Your documentation will drive understanding across the Halter team, and you will be comfortable with both written and verbal communications.
  • Attitude: You enjoy working in a self-directed way, and have a track record of being a proactive self-starter. You are results-driven, highly motivated and eager to grow alongside a world-class team. You’ll have examples of your adaptability in a high-stakes environment, and times when you have had to think on your feet to deliver results.

Bonus role requirements:

  • Experience within the agriculture sector.
  • Experience with grant writing.
  • Experience with Government relations or Land Grant Universities.

What your day could look like:

  • Researching and summarizing funding opportunities for ranchers wanting to use Halter, including providing direction on how ranchers could access funds, support or information Halter would need to provide, and developing any shared resources to speed up the process.
  • Researching and providing a breakdown of potential partners for Halter in the US; including recommendations on priorities and approach to partnerships. Partnerships may range from research-based partnerships to commercial opportunities.
  • Collaborating with the wider Halter team, to ensure we are providing the right information about Halter, to the right people.
  • Setting and facilitating meetings with the Halter team and a variety of stakeholders to educate them about Halter. This will include developing resources to be used in these meetings.
