Make Your Mark:
The Professional Services Partner Manager will be responsible for managing and influencing all partner activities related to PS, EMEA. The Partner Manager will have a blend of sales and commercial acumen, functional/ technical knowledge, and delivery management skills to effectively assist , guide and sell to partners and subsequently customer s through the BL software adoption process.
The Partner Manager will be an expert in the BlackLine product, finance operating models, industry standards, regulations, emerging trends, competitor capabilities/limitations, and finance transformation. In addition, the Partner Manager will be involved in strategic BlackLine partner opportunities to capture pain points, prioritize objectives , and gain cross-functional alignment on the recommended solution, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy. They understand prospects business needs, and work with relevant PS leaders to design solution s to meet those needs, as well as map the needs to capabilities of our Partners and Platform .
The Partner Manger will be measured on Partner effectiveness in region including collaboration, escalation management, sourcing new partner subcontract or assist opportunities for PS, forming and influencing PS partner value add packages . In addition, they will be expected to contribute as a Principle on strategic projects as well as work with Professional Services Sales team to grow and help close Partner subcontract/assist services pipeline .
You'll Get To:
Partner Management :

  • Build and maintain strong PS partner relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and influencer.
  • Develop and manage PS Partner Packages by identifying and targeting value add services and competencies which will overall contribute to BL objectives of Time to Value and Adoption.
  • Closely work with Partner Alliance Leaders in region to ensure close collaboration and best practice ways of working.
  • Act as escalation point for Partner project escalations. This includes p roactively identify ing all risks associated with Partner led Projects and work with PS PMO and Partner Alliance leadership to mitigate and effectively correct.
  • Promote the use of PS subcontracted or assist project hours by working closely with both Partner leaderships and PS PMO - Portfolio leaders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams ( e.g. PS, S ales , technical, customer support) to ensure alignment on C ustomer and Partner requirements.
  • Align and develop ways of working on Partner led Projects which are either at risk of Churn and Attrition or aren't effectively adopted.
  • Working closely with PS, product and marketing t o assist in the development of assets (e.g., workshop enablers, use cases, competitive comparisons, sales/partner training, whitepapers, webcasts, etc.) which will benefit Partners and PS strong delivery of Projects/ Programmes .
  • Identify and knowledge share partner best practices on BL projects to ensure internal knowledge transfer.
  • Proactively Partner with the PSS team responsible for services sales to collaborate on any upcoming Partner opportunities. This will significantly reduce and improve the reactive negotiations on scope and commercial terms and improve the overall onboarding of a customer and project ramp up.
  • Track Partner PS sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions .
  • Provide regular updates and reports on partner sales forecasts, effort estimation trends, and project Budget versus actual .
  • PS Principle:
  • Provide best practice Blackline recommendations, design analysis and customer influence strategies on any PS Project or Programme as required .
  • Proactively contribute and promote knowledge sharing on any new learnings and best practice with PS Functional and Technical Consultants


What You'll Bring:
Years of Experience : 7+ Years
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Technical/Specialized Knowledge , Skills and Abilities :

  • Extensive experience of ERP and/or Financial systems deployments, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Demonstrable professional services consulting experience
  • Proven track record of managing a regional or national professional services organization
  • Strong leadership abilities to motivate and manage a team of Partners, Managers Implementation and individual contributors at multiple levels within an organization
  • Team player who can collaborate across organization with willingness to be hands on to assist when needed
  • Excellent communication, management, mentoring, and organizational skills
  • Passion for customer success , time to value and BlackLine platform adoption
