Job purpose:
As a Paralegal at McCain, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team, which serves multiple legal entities based in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Poland. Working closely with a team of six legal professionals, you will provide essential assistance in various legal matters and initiatives, contributing to the success and compliance of our operations in the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Corporate Administration:
- Maintain and manage corporate records for legal entities, including preparing board resolutions, annual reports, and compliance filings.
- Ensure corporate governance documents and registries are regularly updated in compliance with European regulations.
- Organize and document board meetings, shareholder meetings, and corporate events.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and execution of legal documents, including agreements and corporate filings, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
2. Project Management:
- Coordinate and manage legal projects to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- Act as a central contact point between legal counsel and internal departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Oversee document management systems to ensure accessibility, accuracy, and compliance.
- Support compliance efforts by monitoring regulatory changes and assisting with internal audits.
- Manage budget allocation for legal expenses, including tracking expenditures, preparing reports, and supporting budget planning and forecasting.
3. 4. Digital Tools and Systems Management:
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI) for documentation, analysis, and presentations.
- Administer legal tech solutions such as contract lifecycle management systems, compliance tools, and governance platforms.
- Adapt quickly to new technologies and improve processes using digital tools.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Partner with finance, HR, and other departments to align legal processes with organizational objectives.
Your Profile
Education & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in law, administration management, or a related field. A master's degree is not essential but welcome.
- Significant previous experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or executive assistant, preferably in a corporate legal environment.
- Knowledge of legal principles and procedures
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and project management skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented and analytical, ensuring accuracy in handling legal and corporate documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French or Dutch is a plus.
- Proactive and solution-driven, thriving in a collaborative and multicultural team environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and legal management platforms (e.g., Diligent, iManage, or similar)
