Lead and optimize Arc’teryx Japan’s paid media strategy to achieve business objectives by managing digital channels and collaborating with key stakeholders.
Role Overview
As Paid Media Manager, you will translate business objectives into digital execution by managing agencies and collaborating with teams across global and regional markets. Your role involves adapting global strategies for Japan, identifying key audience segments, optimizing channels, and ensuring data-driven decision-making.
You will oversee performance reporting, media budget allocation, and asset management to maximize efficiency and achieve targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Strategy & Execution:
- Manage digital agencies to plan, execute, and optimize paid media campaigns across all channels.
- Align digital strategy with omnichannel and e-commerce goals.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
- Track key KPIs (ROAS, MER, Brand Studies, web traffic quality, reach & frequency, etc) to ensure strategic targets are met.
- Challenge agencies to drive continuous improvement in campaign results.
- Creative & Ad Copy Management:
- Provide agencies with assets, ensuring alignment with best practices and local needs.
- Translate and refine ad copy for paid channels, optimizing for engagement and performance.
- Guide creative agencies & utilize creative tools to localize, adapt & create best-performing creatives adhering to paid media best practices.
- Budget & Reporting:
- Oversee media budget pacing, ensure accurate invoicing, and reconcile media spend.
- Utilize media planning tools to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Ensure paid media efforts align with CRM, email marketing, e-commerce, and earned media strategies.
- Stay informed on media trends, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within a media agency.
- Strong expertise in SEM, paid social, display, app, programmatic, native, and video advertising.
- Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into action.
- Japanese fluency (native-level) with strong copywriting skills; Business-level English.
- An eye for design and a great understanding of creative best practices for successful paid media campaigns across programmatic, display, video & paid social.
- Background or capability in graphic design tools (Adobe, Canva, Celtra, etc) is a BIG plus, but not a necessity.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Looker Studio, META, and digital marketing platforms.
- Experience with media planning, KPI setting, budget allocation, and forecasting.
- Strong project management skills and ability to multitask.
- Hands-on experience with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and project management tools like Asana, Monday.com, or Notion.
- Passion for digital media, innovation, and continuous learning.
