P2P Vendor Master Data Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate and timely vendor master data within the organizations systems. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the smooth processing of vendor-related requests, addressing internal queries on master data changes, and providing essential support to stakeholders. Additionally, the Vendor Master Data Specialist plays a crucial role in approving non-procurement-related vendor requests and conducting regular follow-ups on pending tasks to ensure efficiency.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Support Vendor Creation: Assist local business units in the vendor creation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.

Collaborate with Teams: Work with procurement and finance to streamline vendor onboarding.

Approve Non-Procurement Requests: Review and approve vendor requests not related to procurement.

Manage Vendor Data: Address internal requests for vendor master data updates (e.g., banking info, contact details), ensuring timely updates.

Ensure Data Integrity: Maintain accuracy and compliance for all vendor records, meeting internal and external requirements.

Follow-Up on Requests: Conduct regular follow-ups on pending vendor creation or data changes to prevent delays in operations.

Resolve Issues: Communicate with stakeholders to resolve issues and collaborate with IT to fix technical problems (e.g., system integration or data migration errors).

Promote Best Practices: Support continuous improvement initiatives, provide training, and serve as an expert in vendor data management.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Experience in vendor master data management, procurement, or finance functions preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and vendor master data modules (Ariba SLP/MDG) is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards is a plus.
