Role Overview:

The Outside Sales Representative will play a key role in expanding Lightstyle’s customer base by building strong relationships with homeowners, builders, designers, and architects throughout the Central Florida region. This is a client-facing position that requires a deep understanding of our lighting products, excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility to operate around customers’ schedules and a drive to meet and exceed sales goals.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop lasting partnerships with new and existing customers, including homeowners, builders, interior designers, and architects.
  • Sales Growth: Identify new sales opportunities, prospect potential clients, and upselling existing relationships. Continuously hit monthly and quarterly targets by being results-oriented and focused on achieving through self-discipline, passion, and creativity.
  • Client Consultations: Meet clients at their homes, offices, or job sites to provide tailored lighting solutions that align with their vision and budget.
  • Product Expertise: Stay informed about the latest lighting trends, designs, and technologies to effectively advise clients and showcase Lightstyle’s offerings.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the showroom team, warehouse personnel, and other departments to ensure seamless customer experiences from consultation to installation.
  • Community Engagement: Represent Lightstyle at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand visibility and attract new business.
  • Market Insight: Gather feedback from customers and competitors to provide insights that help refine Lightstyle’s products and services.
  • “Roll-up Your Sleeves” mentality: you take ownership and initiative and are proactive in all sales and business development efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Sales Experience: Proven track record in outside sales, preferably in lighting, interior design, or a related construction adjacent field. Bringing on an existing book of builder relationships is highly desired.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with lighting products, trends, and solutions is highly preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  • Customer-Centric: A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and creative solutions, while remaining flexible to over-deliver results.
  • Technical Capabilities: Ability to comprehend blueprints and electrical knowledge is preferred. Comfortable using CRM systems, presentation tools, and basic design software to support sales efforts.
  • Valid Driver’s License: Ability to travel frequently within Central Florida to meet with clients and attend events.
