About the department

The Compliance, AML, & Control function is responsible for ensuring that all activities comply with regulatory requirements, including financial crime, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption, data privacy, and sanctions.

About the role

As the Quality Assurance Analyst you will get the opportunity to  work closely with the wider Outcome Assurance team of analysts, reporting to the Client Outcome Assurance & Action Manager to ensure the 1LOD AFC & Customer Relations Teams business practices meet regulatory requirements and support continual improvement, through the use of MI and ongoing assurance feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to a strong internal control environment through robust data and information maintenance utilising OA to support actions

• Encounter confidential information and will be required to act with discretion and professionalism at all times

• Identify MI requirements and support the delivery of detailed daily/weekly/monthly reporting themes, trends & root cause analysis to senior management

• Drive the resolution of improvement actions with key stakeholders

• Maximise the use of systems and software to develop and maintain MI reporting

• Strive for identifying continuous improvement opportunities and execute accordingly

• Build and maintain key relationships with business stakeholders

About the candidate requirements

• Strong experience of Outcome Assurance sampling for AFC and/or Complaints related workstreams

• Good understanding of the products & processes in place at abrdn or similar financial services business

• Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office, including: Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

• A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and determination to follow tasks through to completion

• Manipulation of large quantities of data to produce & present reports in a simple and clear format
