Job Purpose

The Expert Brand Manager for OTC Portfolio will be responsible for developing and executing strategic HCP centric marketing initiatives that drive growth and market penetration for the company's OTC portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare marketing, behavioural insights, and a proactive approach to stay ahead in a competitive market. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal brand communication to HCPs, increase product awareness with patients, and improve accessibility of products to meet patient and healthcare provider needs in India.

Key Responsibilities

The role has the following key deliverables:

  • Strategic Marketing Development: Formulate and implement marketing strategies that support the business objectives of the OTC portfolio, ensuring alignment with regional & global priorities.

  • Market Analysis & Consumer Insights: Conduct ongoing market analysis to understand patient and healthcare provider preferences, trends, and competitor activities. Use insights to refine marketing approaches and identify growth opportunities.
  • Brand Positioning: Develop and enhance brand positioning for OTC products through targeted campaigns, effective messaging, and competitive activation strategies that resonate with the Indian market.
  • Product Launches & Life Cycle Management: Plan and execute new product launches in close coordination with cross-functional teams, including sales, R&D, and regulatory affairs. Develop product-specific marketing materials and manage lifecycle strategies to maximize product potential.
  • Traditional & Digital Marketing: Create omni-channel marketing campaigns (In clinic, mobile, email, events) that reach target audiences effectively. Monitor engagement and adapt strategies to maximize reach and impact.
  • Sales Enablement & Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop training materials, promotional tools, and incentive programs. Support sales initiatives by aligning marketing strategies with sales goals and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, industry influencers, and key opinion leaders, to strengthen brand credibility and market presence.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget for the OTC portfolio, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment (ROI) for all HCP centric activations and initiatives.
  • Performance Measurement & Reporting: Track the effectiveness of activation spends through KPIs, prepare performance reports, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement to senior leadership.

Knowledge/Education Required: Minimum Level of Education Required

2+ years in marketing, with at least 4 years in a consumer healthcare/pharma. Prior experience in OTC/HCP product marketing is highly desirable.
