Position Overview:
You will work as an intern member of the Operating Systems Team, performing real-time research and development tasks from which you will create a publicly accessible technical paper that will be published on Concurrent Real-Time’s official website.
Core Function:
You will utilize the latest Robot Operating System (ROS) software along with the latest RedHawk Linux real-time product running on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin robotics platform.Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Configure, run, and tune a real-time simulation of an inverted pendulum.
- Modify ROS to add better support for gathering real-time metrics.
- Collect and summarize real-time benchmarking results.
- Create a technical paper capturing sufficient details to allow customers to easily reproduce these results.
- Perform additional Linux-specific development tasks for future RedHawk Linux products (time permitting).
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for a currently enrolled junior-level or senior-level student majoring in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering.
