Business Unit Overview

This position is part of the ATI Industrial Automation business unit within Novanta. ATI is the world-leading engineering-based developer of robotic accessories and robot arm tooling, including Automatic Tool Changers, Multi-Axis Force/Torque Sensing Systems, Utility Couplers, Material Removal Tools, Robotic Collision Sensors, Manual Tool Changers, and Compliance Devices. Our robot end-effector products are found in thousands of successful applications around the world. Since 1989, our team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers has been developing cost-effective, state-of-the-art end-effector products and solutions that improve robotic productivity.

Position Details

Summary

As an Order Entry Specialist, your main responsibility is to ensure accurate and timely order entry. This includes accessing customer orders via email and customer portals and keying them into the ERP with a high attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Detailed order entry of customer purchase orders in a timely, accurate manner using various company-wide software applications.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent and professional communication skills to update supervisors and other internal parties regarding assigned tasks.

Additional Tasks

  • Create credit memo’s/miscellaneous invoices
  • Display exceptional attention to detail to meet SOX compliance regulations
  • Meet and maintain order accuracy goals.
  • Meet and maintain order processing time.
  • Completion of items assigned daily reports.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • Be detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
  • B2B experience with data entry (ideally in customer environment).
  • Experience with any ERP system.
  • Understanding of B2B relationships.
  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • Fluent communication in English (daily cooperation with offices abroad).
  • Ability to understand shipping terminology and methods.
  • Be a great team player! 
  • Be able to work in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
  • Be willing to work in-office hours.
