Job Description
- Operational Activities: Carry out all operational activities in the WTP, including handling ambient, noise, B3 waste, solid, and liquid waste in accordance with SOPs and directions from the SHE team.
- Actively notify superiors, General Affairs (GA), and managers about upcoming expirations of licenses and calibrations for equipment or personnel.
- Operate WTP machines safely and efficiently.
- Ensure that water needs align with operational requirements and parameters, and that the WTP product meets specified parameters.
- Perform work according to instructions, procedures, and schedules within specified time limits while adhering to health and safety principles.
- Work according to a predetermined schedule and within designated areas.
- Use, care for, clean, and store equipment and tools properly.
- Implement and maintain cleanliness in the work area and on process machines.
- Continue the work of other co-workers according to instructions and procedures from superiors.
- Comply with all applicable SHE regulations, ensure safe work practices, and avoid environmental pollution of water, air, or soil.
- Use chemicals appropriately and efficiently to achieve standardized control limits.
- Manage water distribution to end users.
- Maximize the efficiency of equipment in the WTP.
- Operate and maintain equipment under the required conditions.
- Adhere to occupational health and safety standards.
- Complete data on operational activities accurately.
- Maintain and clean work tools and areas within the utility area.
- Implement SHE practices in a sustainable manner.
- Ensure that all wastewater is treated safely in the WWTP.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school/vocational high school/diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Water Treatment Plant, especially in wastewater treatment of palm oil processes
- Familiarity with B3 waste management
- Proficiency in operating WTP machines and related equipment
- Understanding of WTP technology, materials, and processes
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machinery issues
- Good understanding of processes to provide accurate troubleshooting in case of operational issues
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
