The essence of the role
As Operator Sales & Partnerships Director, Europe North & West you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the current partnerships with the operators in your region and acquiring new operator partnerships. You will be an integral part of our operator-facing commercial team, reporting to the Head of Operator Sales & Partnerships Europe & LATAM. You will join an experienced team of enterprise messaging experts and a company widely recognized as one of the most successful in our industry globally.
As our new Operator Sales & Partnerships Director you will:
- Formulate and continuously adapt the strategic plan for operator relations in your region based on changes in the market and input from the Sinch sales and Routing & Compliance teams
- Execute the plan to achieve the annual targets set, including responsibility for maintaining and improving profitability. Manage direct report(s) responsible for your sub-regions.
- Oversee and manage existing operator partnerships through monitoring and analyzing the business, strengthening relationships, renegotiating commercial conditions, and finding new business opportunities together. The Operator Sales & Partnership Director works with our Routing & Compliance, regional and strategic sales teams to optimize the benefits of our operator partnerships for our customers.
- Acquiring and signing new operator partners as well as managing the onboarding process including initiating contact, negotiating contracts and supporting the launch of the technical connections.
- Securing Sinch’s sales of products and services to the operators, with a focus on the Sinch Interconnect services. Identifying joint Sinch opportunities with mobile operators in your region, and work together with the wider Sinch sales team to develop and close opportunities for Sinch’s operator portfolio of products and services, including:
- Operator Software platforms (VAS, SMS Firewall, SMSF, RCSaaS, Identity Gateway, Voice Detection and Monetization)
- Sinch Engage (including Personalized Video, Rich SMS)
- A2P Monetization solutions
- Formulate plans for RCS for Business Messaging as well as other services with operators, such as Mobile Identity solutions. Ensuring Sinch is at the forefront of sourcing such services and/or supporting the carriers in launching, managing and/or monetizing such services, thereby making them available for Sinch and our customers.
- Liaise with the relevant regulatory bodies and industry associations in your region as well as participate in relevant industry meetings and conferences
Requirements
We believe you have extensive experience from the messaging /telecom world and a strong business and technical acumen. You are comfortable in a leadership position, working with decision makers on all levels, both technical and commercial. It’s important that you are a self-starter and comfortable in new situations, can work across different time zones and also comfortable reaching out to new people for advice and support. As a person you are energetic, pragmatic, dependable, humble and you like to learn and get things done.
In order to contribute in this role you have:
- 5-10 years of experience from sales or other commercial roles towards mobile operators, or have worked at a mobile network operator in a commercial role
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated commercial acumen
- Entrepreneurial, creative, quick-thinker able to understand technical solutions
- High energy individual who likes to learn and manage various initiatives
- Outgoing personality who enjoys reaching out and building relationships with new people both internally and externally
- Structured in your daily work
- Degree in Business Administration, engineering or similar academic area, or relevant work experience from tech-company/solution
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in English and at least one more European language.

- Experience with enterprise messaging (SMS and Voice connectivity)
- Experience with mobile or digital channels
- Experience with solutions that improve customer experience
- Speak an additional European language
