The role you are looking at is a part of Wolt Market - our very own grocery stores that deliver unprecedented convenience and world leading customer experience. People across Norway can order their groceries and have them delivered to their doorstep at lightspeed! This would not be possible or sustainable without a very strong operations function.
Wolt Market is growing rapidly and we have ambitious goals. We are looking for an Operations Team Lead to lead 5 of our Wolt Markets across Norway and ensure a great quality of end to end groceries operation from fulfillment to delivery. As we continue to grow in Norway, you should expect to take on additional stores. The role will also be critical in developing the optimal store operations. You can think of this role as a Wolt-version of a district/area manager in the retail industry.
As a Wolt Market Operations Team Lead you'll have ownership of supporting a team of Store Managers and together run a world-class grocery delivery operation. Four key areas that you’ll always focus on are the safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your operation.
You will be leading everything related to how operations take place and are responsible for finding and setting up targets, optimizing store layout, improving picking and packing costs, ensuring a great user experience and providing leadership to a team of store leaders and grocery associates.
In this role, you’ll get a lot of help and support on the way, but are also expected to be an amazing independent manager with an exceptional ability to execute every single day. 
What you’ll be doing

  • Responsible for the end to end store operations, from fulfillment to delivery in a group of our stores.
  • Review the demand forecasts and determine your productivity requirements to meet the overall store/country objectives.
  • Maintaining an ambitious and motivated team, while you also hire and train new store leaders.
  • Provide day to day leadership and guidance to store leaders and associates to optimize store operations and guarantee operational excellence - mentor, coach and help their day-to-day work.
  • Workforce and Cost Management. 

Qualifications

  •  
  • Operations management experience in retail, distribution, hospitality or platform economy environments.
  • Great analytical skills. Excel skills are a strong recommendation.
  • Experience of leading teams in stores or in a similar field.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and B2 level Norwegian. 
  • Ability to think and act fast operationally with an eye for detail.
  • A hands-on, proactive, practical, pragmatic attitude with resiliency for changes.
