Job Overview:

The Vice President, Operations Strategy will be part of the LPL Operations centralized Transformation and Strategy team responsible for supporting strategic planning and execution of long-term transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of influencing senior and executive leadership, collaborating across stakeholder groups and leading strategic initiatives. This individual will demonstrate strong financial and business acumen, as they will be responsible for driving the evolution of key change efforts.

Responsibilities:

§Lead strategic initiatives related to Operations-wide strategy: Partner with leadership team to develop and refine organization level target sate vision which will serve as the anchor for all go-forward functional and investment strategies by initiative

  • Leverage data to achieve executive buy-in: Incorporate data, including voice of the client and competitive intelligence, to facilitate compelling story-telling that leads to cross-functional executive alignment.

§Validate and track initiative level strategies: Review proposed strategies and the associated governance processes to ensure OKRs are clearly defined and accompanied by a thoughtful approach for success monitoring §Assist in refining execution level strategies: Gain a deeper understanding of the current Operations functional taxonomy and identify opportunities to improve business outcomes while also surfacing wins to executive leadership §Establish portfolio management process: Ensure investments are in activities that drive the greatest business value to support business transformation objectives

  • Optimize Operating metrics: Secure alignment on the right level of success metrics with leadership team, and partner with Data and Analytics to implement automated reporting processes.

§Act as Cross-functional Liaison: Leverage existing relationships across the enterprise, including Product and Business Development teams, to ensure all levels of Ops strategy are inclusive of actionable client insights and requirements from our robust recruiting pipeline.What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience working within the independent wealth management industry, with a familiarity across the entire spectrum of wealth management (including wirehouses, supported independence platform providers, independent broker/dealers and RIA custodians).
  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field
  • 7+ years of experience with strategic planning, executive-level communication and scrum / project management
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and business leaders to manage, execute and implement strategies that you designed.
  • Strong understanding of FP&A fundamentals with a desire to tackle profitability challenges while also balancing advisor experience, employee retention, business development and long-term product viability.

  • This candidate should be a strategic thinker, effective and succinct communicator, proactive problem-solver, a can-do attitude and thrives in a rapidly changing environment
  • Superior analytics skills with an ability to identify relevant data, evaluate business opportunities within the context of a larger organization and present findings in a clear and actionable manner.
  • A proven history of building and maintaining excellent relationships and partnering with executives at all levels to drive change
  • Very strong deck building and storytelling skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferences:

  • Consulting background and experience
  • Familiarity with Lean Management practices
  • Background in visual design and telling stories with data

Pay Range:

$119,800.00 - $199,600.00


 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
