Summary of This Role

Performs duties necessary for preparing bills, invoices, statements, and vouchers for payment. Monitor the operation of systems to ensure the accuracy of billing information entered into the system and effective delivery of billing information to customers. Reconciles bills, checks balances, follows up on discrepancies. Assist with developing solutions to billing problems and testing the accuracy of system modifications designed to accommodate these solutions.

What Part Will You Play?

• Performs routine billing operations for easier clients, such as preparing invoices, obtaining billing approval and calculating incoming fees due using current technology to maximize effectiveness and accuracy of existing systems. Enters client's billing information and contract terms into the system. Learns the periodic contract review process by assisting in the first invoice review to ensure accuracy of invoice in accordance with client's contract terms.
• Assists experienced Billing Analysts in validating invoicing to company's balance sheet by gathering required documents and comparing data. Reviews sales sheets to ensure all products have been billed for. Maintains required documentation for audits, as directed.
• Acts as a contact for internal/external clients, researching, identifying, and resolving common billing discrepancies or variances. May assist with developing solutions to billing problems. Tests new features of the billing system as they are implemented to verify accuracy of billing procedures.
• Develops familiarization with the issue resolution process in order to assist in creating preventative action plans and improve performance and quality.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Typically No Relevant Experience Required

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Finance/Accounting
• Typically Minimum 2 Years Relevant Exp
• Data analysis/Accounting experience

• MS Dynamics - Software used to maintain billing
• Excel - Required to upload/download data for analysis
• Trade Knowledge - Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
