Operations Specialist II

Position Overview

The Operations Specialist II reports to The Plant Manager and has primary responsibility for clerical/administrative duties associated with HR, manufacturing, and general office support. Duties include but are not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and distribute reports, organizing the flow of information through the management team.
  • Assist in Month / Year end inventory.
  • Organize all on-site events such as safety celebrations, holiday parties, and business meetings and maintain meeting room schedules, availability, and setup.
  • Develop and maintain management communication plans, plant-wide communications, and town hall presentations.
  • Perform requisition support for ERP systems (non-HR needs)
  • Develop and maintain an annual calendar
  • Maintain and support the Union contract during the life of the contract and during negotiations.
  • Maintain union attendance records via the payroll system
  • Manage the Timekeeping system and badge administration
  • Schedule onboarding for new hires, collaborate with corporate stakeholders on the to ensure that new hires can log into UKG, ADP, Workday, LMS. Create agenda schedule to include union committee member slot on schedule.
  • Support site training to include logistics and event prep and execution.
  • Administer the scheduling of Labor Management Meetings and notes.
  • Train new supervisors on how to electronically file documents such as disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans are properly stored within the HRIS system. Update master PIP/Disciplinary tracker.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building experience.
  • Organization and Time Management skills.
  • 3 years of Administrative Experience.
  • 1+ years of Human Resources experience, employee relations, onboarding, etc.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with a unionized workforce.
  • Ability to continually looks for new & better ways to get tasks done.
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business support systems (e.g. SAP, online portals, etc.).

Physical Environment

  • Typical office setting will be sitting for long periods of time.
  • 10% of time exposure to the plant as needed will have to wear the proper PPE.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $28.07/hr, but based on years of experience and skills.
