Overview
Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization, is seeking an operations Manager. The position of Operations Manager is responsible for directing, managing, and coordinating production-packaging activities while interfacing with employees and other departments on designated shifts.
Location: Horse Cave, Kentucky
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety, quality, and production support.
- Promote integrity, respect, accountability, and positive interactions.
- Participate in operational excellence and improvement projects.
- Uphold OSHA standards and perform daily safety checks.
- Maintain Lock Out-Tag Out Certification.
- Conduct safety observations and address issues.
- Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with safety and food standards.
- Report any product safety concerns.
- Direct and motivate supervisors.
- Meet production objectives while minimizing costs.
- Conduct audits and coordinate with HR for workforce management.
- Ensure accurate reporting and maintain departmental relationships.
- Review budgets and support strategic planning.
- Complete required training.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in business management or related field preferred.
- 5-7 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in the food industry.
- Ability to work flexible hours and manage multiple projects.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with continuous improvement preferred.

Working Conditions
- Manage department supervisors and employees.
- Responsibilities include training, scheduling, and addressing issues.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods.
