Job Description
Summary
The Operations Financial Analyst III is responsible for oversight and maintenance of financial plans and reporting as a direct output of manufacturing operations. This position will report to Operation’s Planning Department, and focus on collaborating with the greater Operations, Planning, Programs, and Finance teams to drive financial insights and analysis that support real-time financial results, operational goals, cost management, and performance optimization. The role will involve tracking manufacturing costs, analyzing financial performance, and forecasting revenue, while ensuring financial alignment with production schedules, capacity planning, and operational efficiency.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensures compliance with internal procedures and government procurement regulations
- Monitors progress of program requirements
- Monitors cost performance against plans to ensure contractual cost obligations are met
- Prepares project control/financial analysis reports and distributes to customer/user organization
- Develops complex cost and pricing models; Develop proposal cost estimates, support DCAA audits (pre and post award), and assist with contract negotiations as necessary
- Conducts complex financial analysis (variance analysis, risk analysis, profit/loss analysis, etc.)
- Performs non-routine analysis and prepares non-routine financial reports
- Liaison between operations and other support organizations on financial issues
- Interfaces with subcontracts, and customers and performs extensive investigations as required
- Identify and drive process improvements including reports, tools and presentation materials
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
- Other duties as assigned
Special Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years of relevant experience
- Experience in costing and pricing complex development programs
- Current expertise in MS Office Suite (Advanced MS Excel required)
- Working knowledge of ERP, SCM, and CRM software/applications
- Working knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems and Reporting
- Must be able to effectively work with other users, finance, planners and support staff in achieving results
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies:
- Experience in project controls and/or financial planning in a government contracting environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Government Cost accounting principles and FAR preferred
- Knowledge of Cobra & MS Project knowledge is desirable
- Experience using Oracle EBS / Fusion preferred
- Selects methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, utilizing good judgment
- Has effective problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Focuses on teamwork, collaboration and puts the success of the team above one's own interests
- Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
- Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
- Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products

Physical Demands
- Ability to work in a factory or office environment (Constant)
- Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)
The salary range for this role is:
$88,000 - $124,740

ITAR Requirement:
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
