  • Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot batch jobs in Linux and Windows environments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Write, modify, and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation and job scheduling (Cron, Windows Task Scheduler, or similar tools).
  • Enhance monitoring and alerting to improve job execution reliability.
  • Work closely with business users and IT teams to investigate and resolve operational issues.
  • Document and maintain operational procedures for job execution, deployments, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in incident response and root cause analysis for job failures or performance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and operational procedures in a regulated environment.
  • Provide after-hours support for critical failures as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 3+ years in IT operations or similar roles with a strong focus on batch processing and job automation.

    • Experience with Git for version control and application deployment, including Cobol code deployments.
    • Basic familiarity with Cobol or claims processing systems (a plus, but not required).
    • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve job failures and performance bottlenecks.
