About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead System Ops Engineer responsible for ensuring smooth system operations, driving release installations, and maintaining critical system documentation. Your role will involve participating in collaboration with cross-functional teams and contributing to successful deployments and effective monitoring.
In this role, you will:

Lead, participate, and coordinate release installations
-
Gather, submit, and follow through on SDLC release requirement documentation and approvals
-
Coordinate validation and communication plans
-
Develop and maintain detailed runbooks to support release processes and rollback strategies
-
Collaborate with platform and development teams to implement robust alerting and monitoring strategies for each install
-
Regularly review and improve monitoring dashboards and incident response procedures
-
Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems

Coordinate with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives

Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
-
5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management processes

Experience managing critical system flows and dependencies
-
Ability to create clear, detailed documentation for critical workflows, installation steps, and runbooks

Familiarity with alerting and monitoring tools a plus (example, Grafana, Splunk, etc)

Service Now experience a plus
