The Business Analyst will research and analyze improvement opportunities, conduct workflow analysis, prepare recommendations and facilitate implementation of service quality and/or efficiency enhancements to business processes including implementation of new products.
How will you create impact?
The Private Markets Operations Solutions team works to identify areas for improvement across the various teams and asset classes. The Solutions Team works with the internal teams to increase their efficiency (through automation, process improvement, project management, etc.) and alleviate risk for the organization. The role requires the ability to learn several systems, different asset classes within MIMPM, and project management skills.
Responsibilities

Provide support to business areas, investigating operational related problems/inquiries, and recommending and implementing solutions

Develop business requirement documents and specifications

Work as directed by management team to research and document business issues involving workflow procedures and processes

Analyze data and work with management to develop creative solutions.

Coordinate recommended process changes, enhancements and product implementations including test plans to ensure successful implementation

Act as business unit liaison with other business units including Information Systems, etc.

Assume the role of technical expert responsible for developing and guiding more junior team members

Identify and recommend staff training needs in response to process changes or new product/system implementations

Update assignments used for status reports, team communications

Shares best practices with other team members, thus ensuring consistency across BUs and channels in the way John Hancock does business, and in its delivery of products and services

Shares information on projects with other team members to ensure interdependencies amongst work are identified and addressed
The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.
What we are looking for

Bachelor’s degree preferred

2 - 3 years of business experience including progressive business analysis experience

Very good understanding of the business unit including product offerings, and service and management structure

Good understanding of project management methodologies and workflow design

Ability to influence and negotiate with others to meet project deadlines

Understanding of system design and analysis and user testing.

Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders representing a broad range of functions and levels.

Salary range is expected to be between
$60,375.00 USD - $100,625.00 USD
