Position Summary

The Operations and Logistics Support staff is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage and shipment of product. Responsible for day to day shipping and receiving functions. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare shipping area for all incoming shipments, making boxes etc.
  • Receive and verify count of all shipments coming to facilities (FedEx, UPS and all other deliveries)
  • Open, inspect and verify shipment information to include count, type, model number, serial and decontamination status of all devices and/or instrumentation.
  • Contact sender for any discrepancies or questions in regards to shipment
  • Assist in the facilitation of parts, supplies and loaners both receiving and shipping
  • Prepare all items for outgoing shipping according to WOrM order instructions paying particular attention to the notes section; verify paperwork reconciling to WOrM order for incoming shipments; protect all shipping items with sufficient packing material
  • Updating all status changes and adding tracking information into the WOrM order

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor all shipping supplies and order as necessary
  • Perform backup purchasing and inventory functions
  • Perform other duties as required

  • Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel, and reach with hand and arms
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and regularly lift 30 pounds
  • Regularly push/pull carts of over 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, bending, stooping and reaching
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding)
  • Follow Universal Precautions to minimize/eliminate exposure to potentially infectious material
