Austin, Texas with teams in Austin, Texas; Cody, Wyoming; and Washington D.C.

Our Company was launched in 2018 and has achieved uninterrupted growth for six consecutive years. Underpinning this growth is a talented and hardworking Finance & Administration department that oversees all aspects of running the business. This new team member will have the following focus areas:

1. Support the Finance and Administration Department as we work to help Fathom5 operate more efficiently.

2. Coordinate IT operations to ensure that users have the technology they need to be successful.

3. Take on a "Product Owner" role for internal projects that will help turn Fathom5 from a successful small business to a national mid-market company.

This job is right for you if you love a dynamic environment, dealing with lots of diverse and interesting people, getting the details right, and solving hard problems. Key to your success in this role is a desire to be around people, in the office. We support focus days, out of the office, on a case-by-case basis, but this is an in-office position.

Our new Operations Analyst will report to the Fathom5 Director of Finance & Administration, who has 30 years’ experience as a Certified Public Accountant and leadership across multiple business sectors. We are a learning organization, focused on the development of our teammates. Therefore, our Director of Finance & Administration builds a tailored professional growth plan for each member of her team and new challenges will present frequent opportunities for our Operations Analyst to learn additional skills and take on greater responsibilities.

The Fathom5 Operations Analyst will support the following broad responsibilities on the Finance & Administration team.

  • Collaborate with all departments to create dashboards and reports to support decision making throughout Fathom5. Skills in retrieving data, examining it for trends, and presenting it to others will create a road to success in this area.
  • Help control costs by regularly auditing the use of different resources and interacting with users to determine whether their needs are being met.
  • Assist with monthly billing of clients.
  • Work with team leaders to obtain quotes for goods and services and execute the purchase process.

The Fathom5 Operation Analyst's IT focus will involve supporting Fathom5 with the following assignments.

  • Help procure assets that enable team members to have the equipment and licenses needed to execute their programs
  • Manage the inventory of IT equipment including maintaining inventory records
  • Provision equipment for employees and ensure the proper use and configuration of these assets through a combination of documentation, knowledge management, training, and direct user support.
  • Gather and use data to help plan a technology refresh program for the company.

The Fathom5 Operations Analyst will support Fathom5 teams with project management skills.

  • Manage the battle rhythm for key internal products teams, including our new cloud-based development environment CUTIE.
  • Own the planning backlog for these projects and function in a role similar to a SCRUM Master in clearing hurdles to team execution.
  • Work with managers and team leads to investigate and/or supply cost, work hour, and other data used in our billable and R&D projects

The Fathom5 Operations Analyst requires:

  • Clear and effective communication – Written and oral communication skills sufficient to accurately convey detailed information to both internal and external audiences.

  • Initiative – The desire to lead by example through hard work, dedication to completing a task, and the self-reliance to figure out how a new requirement might be addressed.
  • Team-first mentality – The ability and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Startup Stamina – Fathom5 is changing the world at the intersection of industrial systems and advanced software. Sometimes changing the world requires long hours, standing for full days, and medical clearance for light labor, as well as occasional travel.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA from an accredited university.
  • 1-3 years of business analysis, project management, and/or IT experience. Work history should demonstrate experience in planning, organizing, and completing assignments, being a self-starter, collaborating to prioritize projects, and being a hard worker.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills will be demonstrated in the job screening process through writing samples, Excel proficiency examples, and oral interviews.

operations of the company.
