Our Data Democratization, Analytics & BI team consists of 8 team members and currently we are searching for dedicated-to-work Operational Lead/Principal Data Engineer. In this role, you will be key to our successful data and insights deliveries and be instrumental to our company-wide strategic focus on data.
Responsibilities
- Operational Management
- Management of day-to-day operations, assessing and assigning resources to project tasks, INC, CR's. and ensuring performance and deliveries
- Driving proactive optimization initiatives
- Guidance and support to team in relation to daily tasks
- Mandate to prioritize tasks and resources
- Strategy/architecture
- Representing the area in the area in cross-digital architecture board (driven by EA)
- Solution design/architecture in relation to development tasks and projects
- Overall architecture, strategy and roadmap of the analytics platforms, also in collaboration with suppliers
Qualifications and competences
- Min. 9 years of experience with Data Engineering
- Strategic design and delivery management
- Very strong SQL competencies (querying and development)
- Strong experience in Python in Data Lakehouse development
- Synapse workspace and Databricks
- ETL technologies, especially Azure Data Factory and SSIS
- Experience in both on-prem (SQL servers BI stack tools) and cloud technologies
- CI/CD and general DevOps experience
- Preferably general front-end / BI experience (PowerBI, data models, tabular models)
Besides a solid practical and theoretical foundation, you also possess strong interpersonal skills to lead effectively team members, stakeholders and leadership teams across a global organisation. It is imperative that you have a positive, ‘can do’ mindset, thrive with new challenges in a fast-paced, global environment and overall have a outgoing attitude.
