The Operational Excellent Manager, AME is responsible for overseeing large projects, manages resource alignment and deadlines to achieve product implementation and major technology change requests. This role works to influence cross-functionally in alignment with KONE Way processes and tools. This role does not have direct reports but works through others to achieve business and individual goals. In this role, communication is essential in order to manage the communication of releases and major product implementation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Regularly manages conflict and push back under pressure while coordinating communication and timing for new product releases and product/process change requests (CR) and CR implementation 

  • Manages KONE product roadmap and project portfolio ensuring that relevant interdependencies, resource constraints and timelines are considered by the business

  • Influences and manages stakeholder expectations; wins through others by influencing, inspiring, coaching and energizing team to achieve a set of common goals 

  • Facilitates KONE deployment by ensuring engaged steering, project and change management together with Local Business Line, Function and Process Owners 

  • Negotiates with key stakeholders for necessary human and financial resources required for successful project/program delivery.  

  • Supports the new product implementation program as a team member through relevant decision making, representing the global manufacturing network and supply requirements. Also leads new product implementation project execution from prototype decision gates to completion in global manufacturing network.

  • Interfaces with local teams and globally to ensure thorough communication, resource requirements met and interdependencies that may impact timelines are captured and addressed.  

  • Ensures that the elements of KONE’s project management process are followed and work in alignment with the business for timely deployment.  

  • Leads KONE Process network of business line, function and process owners, process specialists and key users to ensure strong collaboration within the local network, as well as with broader area business line, function, process owners, and global team members

  • Operational Excellence Manager’s responsibilities depend on the project, its size and complexity and relevant business process; may include new product implementations, new product releases and CRs (product/process changes)

HIRING REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 - 7 years of prior support and execution management in an industrial production environment with focus on full delivery chain

  • 1-3 yrs of Project Manager experience  

  • Master Degree in Engineering or other relevant field

  • SAP skills, preferred

  • Fluency in English

  • Knowledge of business administration

  • Ability to see the big picture and understand interdependencies

  • Financial business understanding of budgeting, benefits identification, and realization.

  • Excellent knowledge in production

  • Strong project and change management skills

  • Good knowledge of automation systems

  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills

  • Good understanding of lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

The hiring range for this role is $133,520.00 to $183,590.00 USD.  The compensation package offered will depend on the candidate’s ability to meet the requirements of the role and a range of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to their skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location.
