Our Moulded Glass facility is equipped with latest technologies to produce type I and type III glass vials & bottles in both clear and amber colour. Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Operations Excellence & CIP:


  • Responsible to conceptualize and manage various cross-functional business initiatives in project mode with the use of analytical techniques.
  • An expert in the use of GMS system and Continuous Improvement Projects to ensure that the tools are used appropriately by team members, identify and assist in the removal of barriers to projects.
  • Site accountability for Operation Excellence, which includes working across the site with team to align overall strategy and development for multiyear improvement plan.
  • Ensures the philosophy of Operational Excellence/continuous improvement is in place and that a consistent level of capability is being developed in the site to share thinking and best practices.
  • Responsible for continually improve the KPI's - Efficiency of the plants, Right first time (RFT) both Product and Process, Yield and On Time in Full Performance (OTIF). Elimination of wastes in the process to overall improve the efficiency.
  • Responsible to deliver the OE projects and OE cultural transformation. Coaching and Influencing teams at site to effectively delivery these projects.
  • Report project status and open communication throughout the functions/ organization for the Operational Excellence.
  • Coaching & guiding function teams on excellence maturity models
  • Develop & strategize excellence models relevant to the function & align to OE Model.
  • Facilitate improvement initiatives through a comprehensive manufacturing excellence structure in all the departments of manufacturing plant.
  • Identification of improvement opportunities in processes and improve Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, safety continuously.
  • Supports continuous improvement programs as assigned
  • MIS preparation every month and operation analysis
  • Data analysis and present to management progress at different levels.


Production Planning & Execution:


  • Develops all long term and short term production planning.
  • Coordinate for warehouse, shipping and receiving activities and availability of Raw, Packaging and Storeroom inventories as per the production plan.
  • Maintains up to date specifications data and supports new product development initiatives as/if required
  • Serves as the principal contact for Sales Services Deptt.
  • Identifies and eliminates waste within the organization
  • Good in team management and planning.
  • Ensures on-time delivery to the Customer (OTIF)
  • Communicates with Sales and Customer Service intensively on make to order products
  • Translates customer demand effectively into a schedule that reflects the company goals for optimized manufacturing to meet customer requirement.
  • Maintains and publishes detailed short term schedule and provides leadership to midterm scheduling requirements
  • Creates and distributes production schedule / orders as needed
  • Sets targets and adjusts as necessary inventory levels for make to stock products
  • Participates in month end closing and year-end physical inventory
  • Supports continuous improvement programs as and when assigned
  • Uses professional leadership approach in the interaction of direct reports and internal and external customers


Ware House Management:


  • Develops all long term and short term ware house staging plan.
  • Support to maintains up to date specifications data and supports supply chain team for customer satisfaction and timely delivery.
  • Assist the Supply chain team in material movement to right place on daily basis
  • Make a system to avoid any product mix-up.
  • Support supply chain team implement bin system or location identification for easily traceability of material.
  • Do the stock movement analysis and report to Plant Director/ Supply Chain Manger/ Head. for any stock variation on day to day.
  • Participates in month end closing and year-end physical inventory.
  • Enforces safety rules and good work practices in the warehouse.
  • Uses professional leadership approach in the interaction of direct reports and internal and external customers

  • Know the work safe safety requirements that apply to the work and ensure that are followed.
  • Aware of all known or reasonably foreseeable health and safety hazards where they work
  • Adhere to OH&S Compliances and implement the correctives action at work place.
  • Consult and cooperate with the Occupational Health and Safety Committee members, and cooperate with others carrying out occupational health and safety duties.
  • Follow policy and objective at work place.

  • Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.
