Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Mon-Fri 1100-1930. No call, no holidays. no weekends. Training schedule will default to 1st shift and convert to the intended shift halfway through.
Major Responsibilities:
- Ensures availability of necessary supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Assists with timely turnover of assigned rooms throughout the day. Sets up rooms for next day's schedule.
- Sets up case carts.
- Takes and fills inventory as needed.
- Functions as a runner interdepartmentally.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and triage as appropriate.
- May assist with patient care (positioning patient, preparing patient, etc.) under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- High School Graduate.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 1 year of experience in a hospital-based setting, preferably in the operating room.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Must have good communication, problem solving, and prioritization and self-motivation skills.

- Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF or others).
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist and reach above shoulders at various times throughout the workday.
- Must be able to:
- lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
- lift up to 20 lbs. over the head.
- carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
- Must be able to:
- push/pull with 30 lbs. of force.
- perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Atmosphere in work environment may contain fumes and dust.
- Exposed to chemical hazards as well as blood and body fluids. Thus, protective clothing must be worn as necessary.
- Exposed to products containing latex.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Pay Range
$18.50 - $27.75
