The Senior Operations Project Manager will oversee and manage complex projects within the operations department. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams. As well, this role is responsible to managing a team of project managers, project coordinators, project specialists, and project assistants to ensure effective and successful delivery of project management services to Operations division.

Project Leadership and Management

• Lead multiple high-impact projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop and maintain detailed plans for the project management team within the department on a regular basis.
• Ensure project goals align with organizational objectives and strategic priorities.
• Responsible for maintaining and developing the project management team to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
• Work with key stakeholders to ensure clear communications on prioritization and support across all Operations departments.

Project Management

• Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
• Support and drive business case, EP and ACR
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Track project milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and vendors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
