The Onboarding Specialist will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication/presentation skills to help deliver a seamless onboarding experience for new hires. The role also involves working closely with HR and other departments to ensure compliance, successful integration, and retention of new employees.
Responsibilities

Act as the point of contact for candidates during the and onboarding process.

Conduct in-person and virtual onboarding presentations.

Coordinate with business leaders and the Talent Team to develop customized onboarding plans for the various business units/departments.

Schedule onboarding with all internal resources, including IT, facilities, and relevant teams.

Collect feedback on the onboarding experience and presenters for continuous improvement.

Ensure new hires complete necessary paperwork, including contracts, tax documents, and Employe Handbook.

Collaborate with HR to ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations throughout the onboarding process.

Develop and maintain onboarding materials and presentations.

Help foster a welcoming and inclusive work environment to support employee retention.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and best practices in employee onboarding.
Qualifications
-
3-5 years of experience in onboarding, talent acquisition, or human resources.

Minimum 1 year experience presenting in-person and virtual to an audience of 10+ professionals.

Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage an audience both virtually and in-person.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with new hires and internal teams.

Experience with onboarding software and HRIS systems (Workday experience preferred).

Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices, particularly as they relate to the onboarding process.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
