The Opportunity:

The Oliver Wyman Forum Events Manager is an integral part of the overall OW Global Events Team. This role involves leading OW Forum branded client events across Europe, as well as developing and implementing a strategic, multi-faceted OW Forum event program for the UKI market with a specific focus on events designed to deepen engagement and meet business objectives. For this purpose, the Events Manager collaborates daily (via dotted line reporting) with the OW Forum UK Partner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an annual event plan for OW Forum - (a series of C-suite level forums, workshops, and dinners) both virtual and in-person from brief to onsite execution.

  • Lead the planning of events, establishing the vision, and overseeing the ideation, planning, and execution process while in partnership with support functions (Design Team, Marketing and EAs,) and external vendors.

  • Manage all aspects of event logistics – venue contracting, travel management, invitation and registration, event setup and AV production.

  • Ownership of budgets and expenses for all managed events.

  • Provide consultancy services to business teams, advising on event planning and firm guidelines.

  • Work closely with the Marketing Team (OW Forum) to understand and deliver on their marketing campaigns.

  • Support the Events Director on regional and global OW & cross-MMC initiatives across Europe as required.

  • Independent execution of several strategic projects for OW Forum as required.

  • Implement industry innovation and trends in the industry to create compelling event designs and continually improve standards in our events offering.

  • Manage vendor relationship across multiple services from procurement to contract negotiation.

  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members providing opportunities to build event management skillset.

Experience Required:

  • At least 7 years of international event management experience across a broad range of large-scale events e.g. conferences, group meetings, networking events, virtual broadcasts and webinars

  • Experience coaching team members and leading project teams.

  • Previous Events Management experience from the management consultancy, or professional/financial services sector will be preferable.

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong experience with meeting management software and technology platforms such as Cvent, Zoom, MS Teams.
