About your team:

At Centrica Energy, our mission is to move it.

We’re energy movers by nature. We’re a global renewable energy trading company which helps move energy from source to use – powering businesses, homes, and societies as they transition to a new sustainable energy future. If the idea of working to create a sustainable energy future also moves you, we may very well be the right place for you.

Centrica Energy has an exciting new opportunity for a 12-month fixed term period for an Office Manager to join our dedicated team on our journey towards energising a greener, fairer future. The role is based out of our central London office (close to Marble Arch) with 3 days per week based within the office.

In this role you will be responsible for the efficient and smooth running of daily operations within this busy commodity trading office. You will handle a range of administrative and operational tasks to support colleagues and company leadership across all functions, ensuring a productive, well-maintained, and dynamic office environment.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee daily office functions and act as the primary point of contact for office management enquiries.
  • Project manage office change plan, including design improvements, desk moves, etc.
  • Manage office inventory, ordering supplies, and coordinating maintenance with vendors as needed, working with our Facilities Co-ordinator.
  • Develop and implement office procedures and policies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and manage external correspondence on behalf of executives when necessary.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are met, conducting regular audits and coordinating with relevant departments to comply with industry standards.
  • Manage building access, fire safety, and emergency procedures to maintain a secure and safe work environment.
  • Organise internal events, team meetings, client visits, and offsite activities to foster team cohesion.
  • Support internal communications, ensuring all employees are aware of office policies, updates, and upcoming events.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in office management or a similar role, preferably in the finance, trading, or commodities sectors.
  • Proven record of overseeing facilities project work.
  • Experience and ability to design, plan and deliver events to bring colleagues together.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with office management software.
  • Familiarity with GDPR, health and safety regulations, and best practices in data handling.
