About the role

The New Store Opening (NSO) Operations Lead is a pivotal role responsible for orchestrating the successful planning, coordination, and opening of assigned HDR (High Demand Restaurant) locations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient execution of new store openings (NSO). The NSO Operations Lead will oversee the entire process from pre-launch planning to post-launch support, ensuring that all aspects are executed with excellence.

Key Responsibilities

NSO Planning & Coordination:

    • Manage NSO timeline and checklist from X weeks out to X weeks post-launch.
    • Lead weekly meetings to track progress and status with cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Partner with site leadership to build a trainer roster and develop a training schedule/plan.
    • Manage trainer travel and expense logistics.
    • Place orders for internal demand/food for training sessions.
    • Escalate issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement throughout the NSO process.
    • Ensure communication with all corporate support teams to ensure timeline adjustments and any changes are identified and aligned to all impacted groups.

Restaurant Set-Up:

    • Order smallware, disposables, uniforms, and other supplies for timely delivery to the site.
    • Ensure shipments and orders are correct and timely to the NSO supporting team.
    • Coordinate with site leadership to prepare for and execute site set-up, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are in place for a successful opening.

NSO Training & Post-Launch Support:

    • Collaborate with site leadership and deployed trainers to execute hourly NSO training sessions.
    • Work closely with site leadership and trainers to provide post-launch support, addressing any operational challenges and ensuring a smooth transition to regular operations.
    • Share observations with site leadership to ensure a successful opening and identify areas for improvement.

Budget

    • Adhere to the pre-opening budget and ensure all stakeholders are aware of any additional expenses not identified.

The experience you have

  • Minimum of 3  years of experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Experience in new store opening operations within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results within specified timelines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and navigate complex operational challenges.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support NSO activities at various locations.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Base Salary Range: $122,000-128,000
