The NPI Program Manager is responsible for supporting NPI Program Management for Reagent and Assay new product introduction teams and is responsible for leading activities such as: sourcing decisions, design for cost and manufacturability, product cost and roadmap, supplier qualification and approval, manufacturing and supply chain readiness
This position is part of the Procurement department and will be located in Solna, Sweden. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Engage with the New Product Introduction/New Product Development (NPI/NPD) processes to ensure alignment with the product deliverables for each phase and manage the Supply Chain deliverables.
- Form and lead cross-functional supply chain operations teams to define sourcing strategies and sourcing plans for new products, including recommendations for new supplier selection & evaluation as part New Product Introduction.
- Lead and influence supplier selection and guide alignment to a sustainable long term supply chain and manufacturability.
- Serve as single point of contact to the Supply Chain team to confirm supplier and production readiness in terms of production capacity and approved critical parts manufacturing prior to key product milestones
- Support Global Supply Chain in all Kaizen and Visual Performance Management (VPM) activities and continuously improve the NPI process in accordance with Danaher Business System (DBS) best practice.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- A degree in life sciences, biotechnology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant field.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas is required: project management, supplier relationship management, New Product Introduction, commercial manufacturing, supply chain management and contract negotiations.
- Experienced in working cross-functionally and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
· Some travel domestically and internationally is required (15%)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Background in reagents, enzymes, and chemicals.
- Direct experience leading cross-functional teams (CFT)
- Self-starter with the ability to adapt, critical thinking skills, and problem solve under pressure
