Everest Insurance, the primary insurance division of Everest Group, Ltd., is seeking a Regional Executive for the Northeast region. This individual will be a critical member of the North American leadership team. This leader will be an integral member of our team, supporting us on our journey to become the most admired insurance company in the world by transforming risk into opportunity.

Partnering with Underwriting and Functional leaders, the Regional Executive will be responsible for driving the overall financial performance and execution of our business in the region. The candidate will be responsible for driving strategy and profitability, for the overall region, as well as hiring, development and retention of colleagues.

Collaboration, influence management, and people leadership and development are critical keys to success for this role.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the North American Leadership team, this individual and role requires someone who is well-rounded across five key dimensions:

  • Underwriting and Portfolio Management

  • Distribution Strategy

  • Operational Excellence

  • Financial Analysis, and

  • Leadership Strength

Strategic Oversight & Leadership of the Region

  • Accountability for the strategic direction, oversight, performance, and execution within the Region

  • Partner with Underwriting and Functional leaders to drive the overall performance and execution of the region. 

  • Oversight and management for all Everest locations/offices in the region, including coordinating workforce planning, strategy, and expansion within each respective region to ensure a consistent and positive experience for our insurance colleagues across the United States.

  • Driving all aspects of our organizational priority to get closer to our customers.

  • Align, empower, and influence others through ideas; wield encouragement and insight.

  • Ensure customer retention and satisfaction supporting a culture of collaboration across all business segments for product density (or cross selling) and customer service.

Financial Execution

  • Responsible for successful execution of the financial plan; adapting strategies and actions to meet the needs of a changing marketplace; effectively preserving and improving profitability through product development and enhancement; pricing discipline, competitive analysis and the development of business performance metrics and controls. 

  • Business resiliency across all offices in the region

Market Presence & Distribution Strategy

  • Lead the Regional Sales & Distribution team

  • Represent Everest Insurance at various broker & client industry conferences and events

  •  Deepen existing and develop new external trading relationships in conjunction with line-underwriters and collaborate with all other product divisions to deliver a One Everest client-centric approach.

  • Identify opportunities to deliver depth and breadth of Everest product offering to client and drive cross sell execution

  • Provide insurance solutions & broader risk management support to clients most complex risks and challenges.

  • Develop a business and marketing plan, building brand and product awareness throughout marketplace

  • Coordinate Business development activities and execution of yearly business and budget planning.

Critical Member of the North American Insurance Leadership Team

  • Collaborate with Everest Insurance® leadership to develop and achieve intermediate and longer-term strategic goals (growth, market selection, market share, competitive position, and long term sustainability.)

  • Promote “OneEverest”, opportunities by collaborating across business units, with region, and functions to improve performance and enhance the growth of shareholder value

  • Works closely with team to ensure Everest Insurance products and services are highly sought after in the industry.

  • Develops, cultivates, and maintains strong partnerships with brokers, and serves as the face of the region in the external marketplace.

  • Ensures collaboration with Distribution, Product Management, Strategy, Claims, Operations, and other functions to optimize results

  • Responsible for identifying, recruiting, retaining, and developing top talent with strong succession plans

Skills & Abilities

  • Significant (20+) Years in Industry

  • Strong, Respected Reputation in Region

  • Leadership Ability/ Management Experience

  • Located Physically in New York City office a minimum of 3 days per week

  • Comfortable/Capable of Managing by Influence

  • Strong Ability to Manage Through Ambiguity and Change

  • Financial Acumen (P&L Experience)

  • Executive Presence

  • Exceptional oral and written communication, with the ability to provide concise executive summaries to senior management.

  • Strategic Thinking/Planning Ability

  • Broker/ Client Network Development

  • Strong EQ

  • Highly collaborative and able to work effectively across the organization as well as with external stakeholders.

For NY only: The base salary range for this position is $310,000 - $410,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
