About the Role

Mixpanel is looking for a highly skilled North American Field Marketing and Customer Engagement Specialist to manage and scale our field marketing operations. This role is crucial for driving early- to late-stage pipeline within our startup, mid-market, and enterprise segments, as well as engaging existing customers to foster upsell and expansion opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong operational focus to our field marketing efforts, placing infrastructure that supports pre- and post-event experiences, along with partnering proactively within our ecosystem to reach shared customers.

We are searching for a strategic operator eager to grow in this role, with a strong track record in field marketing program development, stakeholder collaboration, and operations within a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment. This role will involve building a cohesive approach to field marketing while ensuring alignment with our sales, partner, customer success, product, and global marketing teams. The ideal candidate will develop a comprehensive understanding of Mixpanel’s value to both current and prospective customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Field Marketing Strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and regional partners, to design a field marketing strategy that fills the top-of-funnel pipeline and supports deal progression using tactics like online/offline events, ABM campaigns, and partner co-marketing initiatives.
  • Create a Centralized Marketing Operations Hub: Build a centralized hub to house all field marketing materials and documentation, enhancing accessibility, collaboration, and accuracy.
  • Streamline Post-Event Follow-Up: Implement marketing automation workflows for personalized, engagement-based event follow-ups, allowing more efficient data entry and follow-up consistency.
  • Enhance Sales Visibility via Salesforce-Customer.io Integration: Work with RevOps to integrate customer.io with Salesforce, providing sales with visibility into customer and prospect email engagement to facilitate personalized, coordinated outreach.
  • Data-Driven Event Analysis: Establish a data framework to track and analyze event performance, linking attendance to opportunity creation and deal closures, with KPIs such as lead quality, closed deals, and average deal size.
  • Drive Brand Advocacy: Engage our happiest customers and advocates, ensuring their participation in field programs to amplify Mixpanel’s brand presence.
  • Quarterly Sales Support: Ensure field marketing operations are updated in advance for the quarterly business reviews of the sales teams.
  • Global Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the global field marketing organization by sharing learnings, best practices, and standard processes.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • Experience: 5+ years in field marketing and/or operations within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to build close, trusting relationships with sales, marketing operations, revenue operations, design, and product teams.
  • Creativity and Execution: Proven experience executing impactful field marketing programs targeted at executive and technical audiences.
  • Operational Excellence: Strong track record in enablement, operations, demand generation, and marketing automation, delivering measurable results.
  • High Energy and Curiosity: A proactive attitude with a sense of urgency, intellectual curiosity, and adaptability.
  • Business and Data Acumen: Skilled in using data to measure and optimize activity performance and improve processes.
  • Organized and Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail and adaptability to new learnings and insights.

Bonus Points For

  • Industry Expertise: Experience in analytics or a similarly technical B2B vertical.
  • Specialization: Knowledge in on/offline events, partner marketing, customer retention programs, or ABM.
  • Existing Tech Stack Proficiency: Familiarity with Hightouch, customer.io, Goldcast, Figma, Salesforce campaigns, and experience with centralized documentation tools like Notion or project management platforms.
  • Process & Data Enthusiasm: Bonus if you love building processes and spreadsheets and if data brings you joy. Extra points if you get excited about creating organized and visually appealing Notion pages, SFDC dashboards, and enjoy digging into details to make processes better.

Compensation

The amount listed below is the total target cash compensation (TTCC) and includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commissions. Variable compensation type is determined by your role and level. In addition to the cash compensation provided, this position is also eligible for equity consideration and other benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level and are benchmarked to the SF Bay Area Technology data cut released by Radford, a global compensation database. The range displayed represents the minimum and maximum TTCC for new hire salaries for the position across all of our US locations. To stay on top of market conditions, we refresh our salary ranges twice a year so these ranges may change in the future. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and other factors.
