Job Summary:
The New Account Manager is responsible for spearheading the acquisition of new clients within the energy and commodities trading sectors. This role emphasizes strategic business development, with a focus on achieving a specified annual sales quota. The NAM will identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, leveraging a deep understanding of ETRM/CTRM platforms and capSpire’s consulting services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Actively identifies and targets new business opportunities in the energy and commodities trading sectors, developing and executing a strategic sales plan to penetrate new accounts and achieve a defined sales target.
- Leads the entire sales process for new accounts, including prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, and closing deals. Delivers compelling presentations and proposals that clearly articulate the value of capSpire’s solutions.
- Maintains a deep understanding of capSpire’s offerings, including consulting, advisory, implementation, and operations support services. Stays informed on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive activities to refine sales strategies and identify emerging opportunities.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with potential clients, acting as a brand ambassador at industry events and forums to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
- Works closely with internal teams, including marketing, delivery, and practice leaders, to craft tailored solutions for prospects. Partners with marketing to align lead generation efforts with sales objectives.
- Manages and tracks sales activity, opportunities, and progress in CRM tools, ensuring accurate and timely reports to leadership on revenue, pipeline, and account health.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven ability to build new client relationships and drive the sales process from prospecting to closure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport quickly and influencing decision-makers.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong analytical mindset to understand client needs and align solutions to business goals.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of sales experience, specifically in account management or business development, with a demonstrated track record of success in meeting or exceeding significant sales quotas.
- Strong understanding of ETRM/CTRM systems such as OpenLink Endur, Allegro, or RightAngle.
- Experience selling to the energy and commodities trading sector preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Monday.com for managing opportunities and tracking performance.
Physical Requirements:
- Willingness to travel as required to engage with prospects and attend industry events.
