Job Responsibilities:
Understand the Tarana Wireless product's architecture and gain expertise in all the network components involved
Design, execute Network layer functional and system tests for various Tarana product lines and review results release on release
Facilitate continuous evolution of tests based on features and issues
Drive automation of QA owned tests
Own regression test areas and ensure that the product quality is intact despite of code churn
Contribute to development of tools that enhance test efficiency/management
Analyze issues by debugging test scripts that are written in Shell, Perl or Python
Identify defects and own them through the resolution and verification cycle
Ensure effective communication of project and testing status to all stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s/Master's degree in computer science or closely related disciplines is required
4+ to 10 years of QA experience
Test Engineering Knowledge: Prepare Test Strategy/Plans, Test Execution, Test reviews, debugging customer issues.
Experience in network protocols and features: Routing, Switching, IPv4/v6, DHCP, DNS, TCP/UDP, Policing, Shaping, AQM, CoDel, QoS
Experience in networking tools like IPerf, Xena, TRex, IXIA, VIAVI JDSU etc
Experience in Unix/Linux environments
Experience in test automation using Python
Self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication
Aptitude to learn new technology quickly and adapt to new feature testing/new assignments faster
Good understanding of QA processes and Agile methodologies
Excellent debugging/analytical skills with a focus on solving problems
Experience with Jira and Confluence
