Building on our ambition to deliver our Platform Services applying agile practices, we are looking for a motivated & talented Network Engineering Team Lead. As Network Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for building expertise and maintaining a common approach to similar activities within your chapter. You will be responsible for the staffing of the chapter, acting as a coach, building and developing chapter members, understanding and identifying their needs and implementing appropriate actions as well as organizing the resource allocation to squads within the organization.

As the leader of the chapter, you must provide technical assistance to squads, organize knowledge transfer and orchestrate the performance management for the chapter members.

As a member of a squad, you will interact with other squad members to achieve the squad objectives.

In this role you will:

  • Work with the Platform tribe leadership to further define and implement the tribe and chapter strategy
  • Help our teams to be successful on their journey to become a true agile organization through the implementation of DevOps practices and principles.
  • Work with your chapter members to bring the right level of skills to the different squads your chapter is supporting
  • Take care of staffing, coaching and performance management for the members of your chapter
  • Coach the chapter member to deliver up to the highest quality levels and in line with applicable controls
  • Take an active role in one of our squads where you can use your full expert potential to help build the next generation platform services

What will make you successful?

We are seeking professionals with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • 10 + years of experience in Networking
  • Experience in IT infrastructure and system administration more precisely in the following domains covered in by our platform tribe
  • Networking (Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ACI)
  • Security (Algosec, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Netskope)
  • Familiar with concept like SDN, SDWan, Zero Trust, Zero Touch/IaC, SPM.
  • Recognized as subject matter expert (Network Security field).
  • Act as a technical lead to bring in Network Architecture design and drive to implementation.
  • Proven experience in leading, coaching and mentoring technical staff. Passionate about people management and people development
  • Extensive experience of working in environments involving agile development
  • Autonomous, driven, with strong ability to quickly adapt and respond to change.
  • Strong analytical skills, open-minded, solutions oriented, and a true standout colleague – gaining energy through collaboration with others.
  • Customer oriented and quality attitude – we continually strive to deliver true customer value.
  • Background that comprises both solid businesses understanding as well as high level understanding of high-quality technical product delivery
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Public/Private Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle)
  • Virtualization technology (VMWare)
  • RHEL OS
  • SQL and no-SQL database technologies
  • Container platform (OpenShift)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline and Automation technologies for build and deployment – Ansible, Jenkins
  • Coding knowledge supporting network/security automation. (ex: Shell, Python, JavaScript, Perl)

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $113,330.00 USD Annual MINIMUM to $210,470.00 USD Annual MAXIMUM. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity for all employee’s contingent on personal and company performance.
