Dark Wolf Solutions is looking for a Network Engineer (Journeyman) to join our pack. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support in the design, installation, testing, and sustainment of network assets and associated equipment. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO. Main responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting and assisting with the installation, testing, and sustainment of all network assets.
- Identifying system problems due to system component connections and notify appropriate offices.
- Providing engineering support for the network systems.
- Performing bi-weekly tests and document components for communications architectures.
- Assisting with the overall installation design and the installation of new cabling, equipment, and associated hardware and software to extend and enhance network systems.
- Providing continuous support of the administration of the network storage arrays and Email Archiving System.
- Delivering top tier support to customers with the administration of the Command Storage Area Network Fiber Channel Routers and switches.
- Managing and upholding network management systems, encompassing both primary and secondary backup network operations centers with limited functionality.
- Sustaining network management systems using both in-band and out-of-band methods.
- Physically being on site at Quantico base 75% of the time.
Required Qualifications:
- At least six years of applicable experience in network engineering at the Journeyman-level
- Foundational knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and technologies.
- Applicable experience in Storage Area Networking, to include FC, FCOE.
- Applicable experience in Network Attached Storage, to include CIFS, NFS, ISCSI.
- Relevant experience with Microsoft Systems Update Server (SUS) and Systems Management Server (SMS).
- DoD 8570 compliance at IAT Level II as set forth in DODD 8140.
- Open to approximately 25% travel
- HS Diploma
- US Citizenship and active Secret clearance or Top Secret with SCI eligibility
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related IT field
This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.
The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $120,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
