Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for an Intermediate Network Engineer for our Infrastructure Team in LaVergne, TN. This position is hybrid and will require a minimum of 3 days at Ingram Headquarter offices.
The Intermediate Network Engineer resolves escalated service issues, coaches other engineers to resolutions, engineers and implements complex projects, and maintains and oversees assigned technology pillars.

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field or directly related year for year experience
- 3+ years’ experience as a system or network engineer or equivalent role required
We have a preference for:
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting network routers and switches, including dynamic routing, overlays, and all layer 2/3 functionality
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting security appliances, such as traditional and next-gen firewalls, along with standalone or integrated IDS/IPS and SD-WAN technologies
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting either hardware or software load balancers, such as F5, NetScaler, HAProxy, or Nginx
- Basic understanding of any scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell
- Basic understanding of application containerization platforms such as Docker, CRI-O, or Container and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker Swarm
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git and Subversion
- Knowledge of software deployment tools such as Azure DevOps, Bamboo, GitLab
The Network Engineer key responsibilities are:
- Troubleshoots problems related to physical and virtual infrastructure performance and resolve trouble tickets as assigned
- Manages, participates, or performs tasks related to specific projects to implement new technology as assigned
- Designs, builds, configures, integrates, deploys and tests infrastructure components, operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Designs, builds, maintains and monitors systems and platforms ensuring they consistently exceed defined goals for availability, capacity, efficiency, scalability, and performance
- Evaluates, maintains, and modifies established ‘best practices’ for infrastructure maintenance and asset management
- Creates and maintains custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on manual tasks
- Creates and maintains consistent documentation for system configurations, installation and administration procedures
- Participates in on call rotation for after-hours support.
Hiring Salary Range: $95,295k - $120,834k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data
