Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator with expertise in Extreme Networks Shortest Path Bridging (SPB) Fabric and Aruba networking solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure in enterprise and data center environments. This role requires hands-on experience with Extreme Networks, Aruba wireless and switching solutions, network security, and troubleshooting complex network issues.
Key Responsibilities:Network Administration & Support:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Extreme Networks SPB Fabric and Aruba networking solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VLANs, and wireless networks.
- Configure and optimize network security, QoS, and high-availability solutions.
- Ensure network performance, redundancy, and disaster recovery planning.
Extreme Networks & SPB Expertise:
- Design and implement Shortest Path Bridging (SPB) Fabric for scalability and resilience.
- Manage Extreme Networks switches and Fabric Connect architecture.
- Troubleshoot SPB-related connectivity, performance, and redundancy issues.
Aruba Networking:
- Deploy and manage Aruba switches, wireless controllers, and access points.
- Configure and troubleshoot Aruba ClearPass for network access control (NAC).
- Optimize Aruba Central for cloud-managed networking.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry security standards (NIST, CIS, PCI-DSS, etc.).
- Perform regular network audits, penetration testing, and risk assessments.
Automation & Monitoring:
- Utilize network monitoring tools (Extreme Management Center, Aruba AirWave, SolarWinds, or PRTG) for proactive network health tracking.
- Automate network configurations using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Administrator or Engineer.
- Strong experience with Extreme Networks SPB Fabric Connect.
- Hands-on experience with Aruba switches, wireless, and ClearPass.
- Deep understanding of network routing, switching, VLANs, and IP subnetting.
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and network security protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network performance and security issues.
- Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python scripting) is a plus.
- Certifications such as Extreme Networks Certified Specialist (ECS), Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA), or CCNP are preferred.
