Summary:
- Client Agency is Department of Homeland Security.
- Must be able to successfully obtain a SECRET level clearance (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies, and drug-free in accordance with DHS policies)
- Will resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Will participate in development of software user manuals. Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team.
Requirements:
- Must be able to successfully obtain a SECRET level clearance (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies, and drug-free in accordance with DHS policies)
- Must have a relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
- Must have 5+ years of experience in developing, testing and deploying code (primarily using MS Visual Studio in .NET and C# environment) with an emphasis on both front-end methodologies and server-side programing.
- Must have previous experience developing application/process automation software based on BPMN models, experience using software tools such as Appian, Salesforce, Nintex, etc. with Microsoft SQL Server databases and Microsoft .NET (C# and ASP.NET) development environment.
- Must have previous experience using low-code/no-code business process modeling notation (BPMN) tools.
- Must have previous experience with service-oriented architecture and web application/services development.
- Must have previous experience with web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD and REST.
- Must have previous experience with ORMs (Entity Framework).
- Must have previous experience with JavaScript programming using a client-side JavaScript framework.
- Must have previous experience with cross-browser DHTML and HTML5 web design.
- Must have front-end web development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery).
- Must have experience with AJAX, DHTML/XHTML, JavaScript development.
- Must have experience with SQL, RDBMS (preferably SQL Server & Oracle), and database principles.
- Must have experience with source code management tools (git preferred).
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have previous experience with Agile Development Methodology, especially Scrum.
- Must have previous experience with Object Oriented design and implementation.
- Must be willing to go into the Washington DC office for fingerprinting, badging, and laptop assignment.
Preferences:
- Previous experience with ServiceNow development and service catalogs.
- Active DHS Secret Clearance or above
- Located in the Washington, DC, Virginia, or Maryland area
