Job Description:
The global center of Software Development for Envista, Medicim, located in Mechelen (Belgium), is world leader in innovative software solutions for the dental profession. We investigate, develop, maintain and support innovative software solutions for dentists and dental technicians. Our software solutions create intuitive workflows for image acquisition, diagnostics, treatment planning, prosthetic CAD/CAM and dental team collaboration in order to treat patients better. DTX Studio is our flagship software suite.
For our .NET team, we are looking for a software engineer. Your role:

Technical design and implementation of server applications. This includes writing code, performing code review, writing and executing unit testing amongst others.

Take part in a Scrum process as a developer, this includes: report daily on which stories you worked, actively join planning sessions and work as a team to reach sprint commitments.

Detect, treat and solve issues, communicate and educate solution to the team.

Focus on code quality. This includes decent unit tests, continuous integration and follow-up of coding guidelines amongst others. Be open for all code reviews, feedback and guidance from more senior team members.

Assist in 3rd Level support cases and support with software testing.

Job Requirements:

Master or Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, or equivalent through experience.

Minimum 5 years relevant experience in development of high quality software solutions within an existing large framework. Clear focus on maintainability and scalability of new solutions within the existing legacy framework.

Good knowledge of relevant programming languages and supporting frameworks (C#, .NET, Angular, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Ajax, WCF, ...).

Implementation of efficient database operations and queries (MS SQL) .

Experience on Restful web services and API design.

Knowledge on Azure server architecture, setup and maintenance is an asset.

Open and good communicator.

Fluent in English (spoken and written).
