Position Job Title: Neighborhood Sales Associate

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
The Neighborhood Sales Associate is an entry-level sales role, focused on learning the new home sales and construction industry. While on the job, the Sales Associate will be mentored by Neighborhood Sales Managers and will assist with daily sales operations of communities in the division. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, however other duties may be assigned:
  • Training
    • Neighborhood Sales Managers, learning the purchase process, attending weekly site meetings and meetings with other site functions to understand entire customer experience, and participate in weekly escrow calls.
  • Prospect Approach.
    • Establish rapport, ask open-ended questions, and identify buyer wants and needs.
    • Manage and registration cards. assist with the sales process and interact with prospective buyers.
  • Prospect Follow-Up: Maintain prospect communication through consistent follow-up using an organized approach as directed by Neighborhood Sales Manager.
  • Realtor Relations: Interact with realtors by providing them with up-to-date inventory information and maintain documentation of all realtor traffic.
  • Self-Prospecting:
    • Follow-up on prospect leads, seek referral leads, and 
    • follow-up on leads generated through company advertising and marketing campaigns.
  • Servicing the Sale.
    • Assist with buyer selected options, complete change orders, collect deposits, monitor loan approval, and escrow process where applicable.
    • Set appointments for orientations and walk-throughs, regularly visit construction site to check progress, and maintain regular contact with customers throughout construction process.
  • Competitive Shopping: Maintain constant awareness of your competition, including strengths, weaknesses, promotions, pricing, floor plans, etc.
  • Reporting: Assist with the preparation and submittal of the following reports on a weekly basis
  • Personal Professional Standards.
    • Project an image of professionalism through demeanor and appearance while acting with integrity and honesty.
    • Strive for teamwork and cooperation and actively participate in goals for personal improvement.

Position Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma; college degree preferred
  • Valid Arizona Real Estate License required
  • New Home sales experience a plus
  • 0-5 years of Sales Experience
  • Computer Literate (Windows, Word, Excel) and able to learn/use new Software
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to close sales
  • Strong organization skills and follow-through capabilities

Base Salary: The estimated annual compensation for this position is between $75,000 to $85,000 per year (base salary of $24.04 an hour plus commission) depending on closings. Base Salary is paid bi-weekly, every other Friday.

Physical Requirements
Requires the ability to hear, type and talk in addition to sitting 100% of the time. The primary work location is a field/sales office with low to moderate noise levels.
