Applica ti ons are invited from suitably quali fi ed candidates to fi ll the posi ti on of a Na ti onal Key Account Manager to be based at the McCain Rosebank site, Gauteng. The successful candidate will report to the Retail Commercial Exec ut ive.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To take the lead role in developing the Shoprite account to deliver on business objec ti ves for both McCain and Shoprite. To ensure proper forecas ti ng is discussed and agreed with the customer; completed and communicated t imely to meet produc ti on lead ti mes. To manage customer rela ti onship and ensure op ti mum service is provided to the customer at all ti mes. To ensure proper leadership and development of the Jnr Key Account Manager (KAM).
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Financial:
Achieve agreed volume/net sales/gross pro fi t targets.
Ensure management of forecas ti ng to acceptable forecast error level.
Timeous execu ti on on price increases.
Execu ti on:
Manage shelf health though Everyday Great Execu ti on principle.
Achieve innova ti on launch plans.
Agree promo ti onal ac ti vi ti es with the customer and ensure adherence.
Con ti nuous engagement with 3rd Party opera ti ons team (Vector).
Maximize product distribu ti on.
Trading Terms:
Prepare annual spend investment plan for business approval.
Maximize Return On Investment (ROI).
Reconcile and report on a monthly basis.
Customer Rela ti onship:
Ensure mee ti ng with regional buyers and na ti onal category manager at least once a month.
Ensure mee ti ng with head buyers at least once a quarter.
Drive category development agenda with the customer through our category team.
Ensure quality business reviews are presented to customers in mee ti ng.
Drive to achieve customer agreed service levels on product supply.
Administra ti on:
Maintain good and ti mely processing of customer and travel claims.
Maintain sound fi ling of all relevant informa ti on.
Keep customer contact reports for all customer mee ti ngs.
Planning and Repor ti ng:
Ensure proper account plans are developed for monthly, quarterly and annually.
Develop sound reports for submission on a monthly/quarterly and annual basis.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma in Marke ti ng/ Business management or extensive experience in a relevant role (B Com Marke ti ng will be an added advantage).
5 - 10 Years' FMCG Key Accounts experience.
More than 3 years' experience in managing the Shoprite na ti onal account.
