ZURU Edge is looking for a high-performing National Account Manager to lead key retail relationships and supercharge our NZ sales strategy. Based in Auckland, you'll own the customer journey, drive commercial wins, and help shape the future of one of the world’s fastest-growing consumer brands.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Through your efforts, you will have a significant impact on the success of the ZURU Edge NZ business. By leveraging your strong understanding of the 4P framework and ability to drive mutually beneficial outcomes you will work with internal stakeholders to develop the ZURU Edge NZ customer strategies.
  • Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as your proven track record in account management and negotiation will help you to effectively collaborate and align strategies with your customers.
  • Your organisation and time management skills will ensure that you are able to work independently while manage multiple priorities to effectively execute these strategies. 
  • Ultimately, your self-motivated and results-driven nature combined with your financial acumen will mean that you achieve and exceed your sales targets.  

Core Roles & Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, understanding their needs and preferences. Collaborate with them to develop strategies that align with our business goals.
  • Sales Performance - Take ownership of key sales measures and targets, striving to achieve and exceed them. Continuously analyse sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and develop action plans.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with the teams to implement customer category strategies effectively. Ensure the execution of best-in-class 4P (product, price, place, and promotion) strategies.
  • Customer Service Excellence - Collaborate with Demand Planning to ensure exceptional customer service levels. Proactively address any potential issues and work towards exceeding customer expectations.
  • Category Management - Partner with the team to implement category plans and trade business plans to ensuring the success of category initiatives.
  • Promotional Strategy - Implement and execute promotional strategies in collaboration with customers. Effectively manage trade budgets, optimize product range and space allocation to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Negotiations and Trading Terms - Manage customer negotiations aligned with ZURU’s commercial strategy. Drive favourable terms while maintaining strong relationships with customers.
  • Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities for efficiency, profitability, and overall improvement in category management. Proactively seek innovative solutions to enhance processes and drive business success.

Skills & Experiences Required

  • Proven track record in national account management, with a focus on achieving sales targets and building customer relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the 4P framework and experience in executing category strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to drive mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in analysing sales data and market trends.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in category management or shopper marketing is desirable
