The Role
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, quick-thinking, and open to working in a fast-paced, team-oriented office environment with the capability of performing administrative tasks. The individual should be adaptable, highly organized and detail oriented, and able to effectively multi-task. The successful candidate should possess a strong knowledge of and passion for music touring and booking.
Responsibilities
- Administrative duties include heavy phones, coordinating meetings and schedules, preparing expense reports, booking travel, producing correspondence.
- Tracking ticket counts and communicating with client’s team including external management.
- Issuing contracts, tracking and following-up on payments and settling shows.
- Serve as the liaison between agent and accounting department in LA to ensure on time payments to clients.
- Special projects and additional assistance as needed.
Qualifications
- Completion of post-secondary degree/program from accredited University or College, or equivalent work experience preferred but not required.
- 1 year of professional administrative experience supporting an executive in a fast-paced environment, or at least 1 year of professional experience working in the music industry or events is a plus.
- Ability to anticipate needs and execute time sensitive matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure; meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong professional interpersonal skills, while understanding the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
- Must be solutions oriented.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel).
Compensation
The base hourly rate for this position is $30.45 CAD. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
