Description and Requirements
The AV Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of AV equipment and systems within the office environment.
This role involves supporting AV calls, maintaining AV devices, troubleshootin g technical issues, and collaborating with other IT and AV Vendors to provide high-quality AV services to the organization.
AV Engineer is responsible for conducting and coordinating webinars, including setup, dry runs, rehearsals, after-webinar recording.
Essential Functions
AV Call Support: Provide technical support for audio and video conferencing calls over MS Team, Cisco Webex including setup, testing, and troubleshootin g.
Ensure that AV equipment is functioning correctly during meetings and conferences.
Assist with connecting remote participants and troubleshootin g connectivity issues.
AV Device Maintenance: Regularly inspect, maintain, and update AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Perform routine checks on projectors, displays, microphones, cameras, and other AV devices.
Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance with AV vendors as necessary.
Perform AV checklist and share status update daily.
User Training: Train employees on how to use AV equipment.
Create user-friendly guides and documentation to assist staff in operating AV systems independently.
AV System Setup: Collaborate with event organizers to ensure AV requirements are met for special events.
Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of AV equipment, including cables, adapters, and accessories.
Keep track of equipment usage and ensure that inventory is well-stocked and organized.
Knowledge on AV Devices and new Technology: Must have good knowledge on features of known AV brands such Cisco, Creston, Biamp, Samsung, etc.
Quality Control & Feedback: Continuously monitor and evaluate the quality of AV equipment and services. Recommend improvements and upgrades to enhance the overall AV experience. Sends feedback survey to all members after meeting setup.
Reports: Ensure sharing weekly, monthly AV open issues report with the team.
Compliance and Security: Ensure that AV systems and equipment adhere to company security policies and guidelines. Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for AV technology.
Webinar Coordination: Coordinate with team members and stakeholders for setting up Webinars or MS Team's Event.
Conduct dry runs and rehearsals to ensure a seamless webinar experience.
Manage the recording of webinars.
Primary Internal Interactions
• Act as a SPOC for all internal & external audit and audit related requirements
* Work with core team (In India) to develop robust disaster recovery plan for the data / redundancies in multimedia etc

* Monthly / quarterly reviews with vendors, who are providing technical / hardware support to MetLife

* B.E/B.Tech or equivalent course in IT
Work Experience Requirements
* 5-6 years of experience with 2-3 in BPO/ITES environment
* Open for working in shifts aligned with US/India
