The Role:
Our site in Pune, India is seeking a Microsoft Exchange Administrator to join our team. The Microsoft Exchange Administrator will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of Microsoft Exchange environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Exchange Online Management:
- Administering and configuring Exchange Online, including mail flow, mailboxes, distribution, and dynamic groups.
- Perform life cycle events such as creation, modification, movement, upgrade/downgrade, deletion, or transfer of data.
- Develop scripts for automating processes within the environment.
- Perform migrations and deployments related to the building, upgrade, and maintenance of MS Exchange.
- User Management:
- Creating and managing user accounts, mailboxes, and permissions.
- Manage user provisioning, access control, and security group configurations.
- Coordinate with HR and other departments to ensure timely and accurate onboarding/offboarding of users and management of data.
- Manage user's mobile devices through our Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions (MS Intune).
- Security and Compliance:
- Create and manage security and distribution groups in Active Directory.
- Managing data loss prevention (DLP) and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Monitor license utilization and subscriptions across the platform.
- Implement and support security policies such as data retention.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Monitoring system performance, resolving issues related to email delivery and server performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Exchange Online.
- Backup, Recovery and Support:
- Developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies for Exchange Online.
- Participate and plan for DR and HA solutions which include participation in drills.
- Working closely with other IT teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues in accordance with SLAs.
- Documentation & Training:
- Maintaining detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide training, documentation, and support to employees on using Microsoft 365 collaboration tools effectively.
What We Seek:
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration, with a focus on exchange administration and related technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive for Business.
- Experience with Azure AD, PowerShell scripting, and Microsoft 365 security and compliance tools.
- Awareness of Conditional Access Policies
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Exchange Server 2013/2016/2019, Exchange Online, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Azure AD, Exchange Admin Center, and SharePoint Online.
- Experience configuring and managing security policies, including MFA, conditional access, and data governance tools.
- Familiarity with managed configurations (ABM, Configuration Policy)
- Experience supporting Single Sign-On using Active Directory Federation Services with Multi Factor Authentication.
- Experience with supporting anti-spam filtering, logging and email tracking and transport rules.
Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
- Microsoft Exchange Server certifications (e.g., MCSE)
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
